Adventures in Solitude [Part One]

Markets, mountains and moping.

Three words that sum up my first few days in New Zealand; my adventures in solitude. Named as such because A: The New Pornographers became an integral part to my NZ road trip soundtrack (being among the few thoughtfully downloaded to my phone beforehand, anticipating a lack of wifi) and B: because I was, well, adventuring in self-inflicted solitude.

(Also explains the moping)

Gorgeous. This looks like a place to write sad poetry and get into some deep feels. I’m also going to be isolating myself, soon! In snowy Wisconsin, though. Totally would rather enjoy my solitude in NZ…. a girl can pretend.

Well if you are going to self inflict solitude, then you chose a beautiful backdrop for it. That valley is gorgeous and those mountains in the backdrop. Doesnt help that it looks so dreary but maybe some sunshine will help you make friends
