Five Things | June 2016

How did this happen!? It’s the last day of June! The longest day has come and gone, it’s nearly EOFY time, and the year is officially half-over. Is anyone else feeling like their life is suddenly on fast forward? No? Just me?

This month in particular seems to have flown by in a flurry of events, workshops and limitless games of Candy Crush (yes I’m one of those, sorry. Currently on level 1,259. I bet you didn’t even know Candy Crush had that many levels did you, you normie)

However quickly your own June has gone by, I hope you’ve…

Five Things | May 2016

May! My month of birthdays.

I think everyone has one of those months. There’s just one birthday after another, and you end up counting backwards nine months out of gross curiosity to figure out just why everyone’s parents were so excitable then (September is the start of Spring here. I think that explains it.) I have a good 22 friends and relatives β€” plus myself! β€” with a May birthday, which makes the whole month feel fun and celebratory. In my mind it’s a holiday month, on par with December (CHRISTMAS!) and March/April (EASTER!).

So I hope you’re having an…

I truly believe there are two types of people in this world. First, there are those who keep their browsing habits simple. They have a couple of tabs or windows open at a time, and they close them when they’re done. It’s very neat and makes a lot of sense.

Then there are people like me. Those who like to open up absolutely everything that looks even remotely interesting, then leave it there. Why? I don’t know. I might like to look at it again in a few days. Bookmark it? Too much effort, I’ll forget it’s there.
This leaves…

Happy Friday, pretty people! I hope you’ve had a good one β€” I know I certainly did!

I had a blast at the Day of the Dead Warehouse Project on Saturday, scoring two VIP tickets for Halloween, and I’ll be headed to a super schneaky Schweppes for some underground London-themed fun this weekend too. Watch out for a post on that later this week!

No matter how your week has turned out, I have five little things to share with you that will hopefully make it even better:

Hi friends!

I hope your week has been grand, and you’ve been enjoying the weather that’s changed its mind more times than Ross and Rachel. It’s not often you get to wear bathers, shorts, coats and scarves all in the space of a day and a half (oh who am I kidding, yes it is.)

I’ve been dividing my time quite evenly between Melbourne and Hobart over the last two months, and each seem to be changing seasons like they’re going out of style. I’ve found that Melbournites like to boast about how cold their Winters/Springs are, but us Hobartians know…

What’s this? Friday again? It’s like it happens every week or something!

This week I’m writing to you from my home town of Hobart β€” or more specifically, from inside one of my favourite hometown eateries; Small-Fry. A pork slider at my elbow and a soy latte in my hand, I’m a happy chappy.

I’ve been here all week for work, theming a few events and catching up with some pretty glorious people. I hope your week has been equally fantastic!

HAPPY FRI-YAY!

I hope your collective weeks have been AMAZEBALLS.

I’ve had a pretty lazy week, to be honest, full of super interesting things such as cleaning the house for a mother visit and baking cakes for the mister’s birthday (a quarter of a century)! Tonight I’m off to Craft-A-Dark for a few hours of nighttime crafting shenanigans with my ladybro and fellow blogger Matilde, which I think is the perfect way to end the week. This time of year is when work starts really gearing up and getting crazy, so it’s…
