Ode to Sunday online: website / Instagram

Are you ready for the latest dose of deliciousness to fall into my inbox?

It’s no secret that I’m an enormous fan of linen, even if my SO has an annoying habit of groping every linen shirt, dress, or doona we find in stores to watch it crinkle.

As Ode to Sunday pust it, “when left to its own devices, it wrinkles like a smile.”

Isn’t that lovely!

Ode to Sunday is a gorgeous, new independent fashion studio, creating effortless style through socially conscious methods. The pieces are made with linen woven by the oldest flax…

Merchant: Sweet Gum Co

Sweet Gum Co. online: website

Featuring a collection of vintage and handmade items from Tennessee and the South, Sweet Gum Co. is a gorgeous little homewares shop of found and handmade goods.

The store aims to feature products that tell a story, do good work, and look amazing doing so. It’s a true celebration of the people who care enough to work with their hands to build objects of beauty and function, that make the mundane realities of scooping, cutting, sipping, and all the other choreography of home life handsome & holy.

Love!

Merchant: woodfolk

I always enjoy stumbling upon something new and great to share, and it’s even more exciting when that thing also happens to also be socially and sustainably great!

Woodfolk is a creative accessories brand by Australian jeweller and designer Julia Denes, in collaboration with artisans from Nepal. Sustainably-grown Nepalese hardwood is used, along with natural or non-toxic dyes, to create the most gorgeous jewellery, bags and scarves.

The collaboration with these small family-run businesses is fantastic; creating opportunity, self-determination, support and hope through social entrepreneurship, and it definitely makes this one inspiring label to keep your eye on!

The merchant I’m sharing today holds a bit of a special place in my heart.

Blackbird Goods opened their doors just four days ago over in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand, but I’ve been following the journey of owners Gemma Adams and her husband for a few years now on the Blackbird blog. Gem is a true creative polymath — stylist, photographer, maker, blogger and DIY extraordinaire.

Blackbird is one of a small handful of blogs I visit regularly, and one of the few that inspired me to create my own little corner of the…

One Fine Print online: website / facebook / twitter / instagram / pinterest

Those that know me know my love for simple, natural, minimal goodness.

They also probably know my love of prints, although my rented walls aren’t the really the best canvas for hanging things. It certainly makes finding spectacular things such as One Fine Print upsetting to say the least!

One Fine Print work with talented Australian photographers to produce a range of artwork perfect for covering your empty (owned or rented) walls. It’s a perfectly curated collection of organic and abstract images that make absolutely stunning prints.

The range is…

Merchant: on the sly

On the Sly online: website / facebook / instagram

It’s no secret that I’m a big lover of clean lines, simple colours and interesting textures (pfft, does anyone actually dislike those things?), so when something lands in my inbox that ticks all three boxes, it’s a pretty exciting event.

On the Sly — as well as having a gloriously sneaky name — manages to blend minimal, Scandinavian design with brilliant colour in a way that will excite lovers of either style. Eco-responsibility is a big focus for their products, using water-based non-toxic inks and 100% recycled inserts, and their geometric range…
