PAPERLICIOUS: a day of crafting goodness

Please excuse me if I’m a little giddy and all over the place. I seem to have creative juices flowing out of every orifice and I don’t quite know what to do with them all.

Last Saturday I was invited to attend Paperlicious: a full day of crafting, eating and chatting, all put together by the absolutely brilliant Magdalena of Unleash Creative, and I’m still buzzing. Adventure: the state library of victoria

I’ve been an honorary Victorian for around four months now.

I’ve consumed my weight in coffee every day, complained about the weather every chance I get (even though it’s really not that bad. Seriously β€” go to Tasmania and tell me about the weather), and executed my first ever hook turn in the city without being honked at.

There are some things that will forever divide me from the ‘true Melbournians’ though, such as visiting the State Library of Victoria. I’m assuming the State Library is something every Victorian child visits at some point in his or her school-hood…

the finders keepers market

I had a pretty spectacular trip flying up for the Finders Keepers market in Melbourne last weekend. What a market, and what a venue! We spent the better part of five hours just wandering around, drinking in the stalls, music, food and people. I love seeing so many creative people in one place β€” such an awesome vibe.

Some of my favourites were the fabulous illustrations of Laura Blythman and Little Quarters, the beautiful textiles of Secret River and the delicious New Orleans & Louisiana street food of Gumbo Kitchen (deep-fried cheese croquettes, hnng).
